Use of resources to finance investments for the next stage

“When governments communicate, the public adapts, and the credibility they gain in international forums is a direct reflection of the integrity of their national communications, because it makes us stronger as a country, globally. , to be honest and courageous at the grassroots level,” Campbell explained.

“If we use the resources to finance the investments for the next stage, we have nothing to lose, but to gain profoundly. IGCF emphasizes courage, clarity and the desire to speak honestly about issues of common interest, and I think that’s very important because it’s not that easy,” she added.

women in government

Campbell, Canada’s first and only female Prime Minister, who served her term from June 25 to November 4, 1993, said women play a vital role in governments and contribute to how they exercise power and communicate with the audience.

“Governments need to be representative of all aspects of society. They need to be connected enough with people to communicate with them. When I was Minister of Justice and legislating gun control, I talked to people on a personal level and asked them questions directly. what the women have been able to do is bring insight into the parts of the world that they know best. They bring their approaches and share them without hesitation, and that adds how governments exercise their power.

Communicate on climate change

The former Canadian Prime Minister highlighted the issues facing climate action and ways to achieve global communication through the appropriate channels.

“Communication channels on climate change, such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, have been created to coordinate global efforts. We identify the barriers to good policymaking, but we need to create the constituencies to develop policy. We should not sweep the problem under the carpet, rather we need to identify the problems and build the infrastructure to communicate and act on them and decide what transitions we could make to achieve global action on climate change “, she explained.

Government communication contributing to the prosperity of humanity

Speaking on the role of government communication in global prosperity, Campbell said, “Governments have contributed to the prosperity of humanity in terms of the rule of law. They have created the conditions for prosperity through social programs and initiatives. Prosperity comes from work. and ideas of individuals, and governments have always been a medium for them to communicate their thoughts on what needs to be done to develop their conditions and provide security in society, as this is a fundamental foundation of prosperity.

“Governments concern everyone, and communication clearly elevates societies to greater progress and prosperity,” she said in conclusion.
