Mostafa Mohamed reveals his role model and toughest opponent he has faced
Egypt national team and Galatasaray striker Mostafa Mohamed has revealed his role model as a player and the toughest opponent he has faced throughout his career.
About a year ago, Mohamed joined Galatasaray from Zamalek after some impressive performances with the White Knights.
Since then, he has made 52 appearances for the Turkish giants, during which he scored 16 goals and provided five assists.
Mostafa’s last goalscoring contributions were against Turkish Super Lig rivals Beşiktaş as he assisted teammate Kerem Akturkoglu twice during the match, leading the team to a valuable victory.

Speaking after the Beşiktaş derby victory, Mostafa revealed his picks for the toughest defender he has faced and his football role model.
“Galatasaray is a big club, they have the best fans in Turkey, a lot has changed since I arrived here,” Mostafa said.
“I started playing football at the age of six and my role model has always been Wayne Rooney.
“The toughest opponent I faced was Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, and my favorite memory is the derby against Fenerbahçe.
“I think my strongest characteristic as a striker is aerial games, that’s why I like aerial duels and scoring with a header.
“Outside of football, what a lot of people don’t know about me is that I’m actually a romantic person.”
